THAI TURKEY STIR FRY
Thai Turkey Stir Fry
Bright and herbaceous. And quite delicious.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground turkey
3 goodly green onions chopped into 1 1/2 inch pieces
4 Tbsp lemon or lime juice
1/2 cup cilantro leaves
1/4 cup basil or mint leaves
sauce
2 Tbsp oil
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
2 Tbsp oyster sauce
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp chopped serrano or 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp each of cumin powder, fennel powder, black pepper powder
1 1/2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar or any vinegar you might have
DIRECTIONS
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a pan and heat gently over a medium flame for about 3 minutes.
The sauce will thicken.
Now add the ground turkey and green onions into the sauce and blend well.
Cook over medium heat till the liquid is absorbed and no pinkish tone remains, about 9 - 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat.
Stir in the lemon or lime juice and the green herbaceous leaves.
Taste the stir fried turkey. It should be juicy and fresh, bursting with umami.
Great over steaming white rice.
