PAT'S BLACKBERRY COBBLER
PAT'S COBBLER
My dear friend Pat Garner made this cobbler famous on 'Good Morning America'. She was invited on the television show along with her daughter Jennifer because their joint appearances on J's cooking show had developed a huge fan following. Pat's no nonsense and unpretentious manner charms people and she is seen as 'authentic' in show biz parlance! I watched her whip up this cobbler two days ago for Thanksgiving dinner (November 28, 2024). I made it the next day, yesterday, believe me it's super easy and delicious.
INGREDIENTS
3 cups of berries or any fruit of your choice.
I used blueberries, strawberries and apples.
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup milk
6 Tbsp butter
DIRECTIONS
Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Butter an 8 x 10 or 9 x 11 baking dish.
Spread the fruit in the dish.
In another bowl, combine the flour, sugar, milk and salt.
Melt the butter separately and stir it into the floury mix. It will be lumpy. Good!
Now spread this floury, buttery, lumpy blend over the fruit.
Bake uncovered for 55 to 60 minutes.
It's done.
Good with ice cream or whipped cream or without.
Enjoy my darlings! ❤
