BEYOND BROTH
BEYOND BROTH
I eat a big helping of this delicious broth loaded with vegetables almost everyday for lunch. I believe it is almost magically healing. My arthritic aches have almost disappeared, my gut is profoundly at peace and I have shed a couple of pounds. This recipe makes a big batch, about two 32 once containers full, one for the frig and one for the freezer. Enjoy in good health.
INGREDIENTS
Broth
1 lb ground turkey
5 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed black pepper
couple of bay leaves
1 tsp ginger
any other herbs you like
6 cups of vegetables like
carrots
celery
cabbage
corn
arugula or salad greens
5 cups water
1 Tbsp lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
Cook all the broth ingredients.
If pressure cooking, 6 minutes is recommended.
When broth is done add the second 5 cups of water and all the vegetables except salad greens or arugula.
Cover and cook the veggies.
Toss in the greens, cover and turn off the heat.
Check for perfect flavor.
When you are ready to eat, add the lemon juice.
Bon appetit my darlings!
